Armor Style robos are robos who have enhanced armor when compared to the other robos of the same model. In all games (except Custom Robo Arena), they sacrifice speed or aerial mobility in order to obtain this boost in defense.
In short, Armor Style robos are designed to be able to take more hits than other robos. However, they have a harder time avoiding getting hit with attacks due to the speed/aerial debuff.
