The Catch Gun is a gun that was introduced in Custom Robo V2 that returned in every 3D installment afterwards. It pulls the opponent close for strong bomb, pod, and charge attacks. In exchange, it has near-to-no offensive power. Even if the Catch Gun misses, its good reload time forces the enemy robo to move in certain ways.

It was replaced with the Traction Ring and the illegal Viking Axe in Custom Robo GX.


The Catch Gun does not work well at closer ranges.


  • Dash quickly away from the rounds while approaching.
  • If spammed against, turn defense into offense and aerially get in close to the enemy.
